Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are preparing for Graduation and other exciting senior activities at David A. Boody!
Mandatory and non-refundable for all 8th-grade students:
- Senior dues are $125.00. (Senior dues include diploma, cap and gown, tickets to graduation, autograph book, Class of 2025 t-shirt, souvenir keychain, a graduation party, as well as the cost of graduation medals and pins.)
The following are optional:
- $70.00 Boody yearbook
- $90.00 Prom at Sirico’s, Dyker Heights
- $145.00 Trip to Great Adventure
Some important dates to remember:
June 10, 2025, morning– Living Environment Regents
June 10, 2025, afternoon - Earth Science Regents
June 11, 2025, morning – Geometry Regents
June 12, 2025 - Senior Prom at Sirico’s, Dyker Heights, 6:00 PM*
June 18, 2025, morning – Algebra 1 Regents
June 24, 2025 – Graduation of Class 2025, 9:00 AM, at Coney Island Amphitheater**
June 25, 2025 – Senior Trip to Six Flags Great Adventure*
June 26, 2025 - Graduation party in the schoolyard*
* Any student who has been suspended and/or referred to the dean’s office may be excluded from participating in year end celebrations.
** It is important to know that only students who complete all of the Chancellor’s graduation requirements will participate in the graduation ceremony. Each student must have a year-end average of 65 or above for the four major subjects (ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies). Students who fail one or more of these subjects will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.
Senior dues must be paid before the other activities. Money can be brought to room 203B by Monday, June 2nd. Checks should be made out to IS228. I look forward to a successful year with your child.
